| The
Anaheim Interfaith Shelter has been providing transitional
housing for homeless families with children continuously
since 1988. While in our 9 month program, each family
receives a furnished apartment, access to our on-site
food pantry, mental health counseling, weekly case
management which focuses on debt repayment and savings
program and free childcare. Our second program, the
Halcyon Child Development Center, is a licensed, childcare
facility for the children of our shelter program and
low-income children of our community. Children from
the ages of 8 weeks to 5 years of age are cared from
6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our goal there is to provide
high quality, low-cost childcare for low-income parents
who are working or attending training programs in
an effort to keep their families housed and safe.
